Hi Michelle, I’d appreciate your story I’m sure so send it my way anytime. I regularly return to my copy of Lolita, with the red love heart sunglasses on the cover…and so to days past. HH’s observation that his poem is really a maniac’s masterpiece pops to mind often enough and still amuses me. So, enjoy your book launch mate, maybe wear a hoodie and backpack for old time’s sake! Thanks for posting so we could know this news. I sang Christmas carols at the Sacred Heart Hospice and was surprised to see Kerry in the audience. We had a good chat, and I could see that he was charming the staff as always with his good humour and gentle charm. I always enjoyed seeing him at poetry events and book launches like that of “Out of the Box” at the Seymour Centre.

thanks for letting me/us know, michelle. i put one of his books back up on my bookshelf yesterday, and thought about him! was only introduced to his poetry in the last year, but there was plenty of wisdom and compassion and insight in there. and he was so young, too.

Hey Michelle,

I was wondering whether you could send through something today as our contribution deadline is approaching. A piece of fiction would be best, but we are grateful for whatever. Some editting will inevitably need to be made, but we will let you know what will be published beforehand.

I just read an abridged version of ‘Bartleby, the Scrivener’ by Melville, which was fun not least because of the fact it was the first novel I have read in Spanish!
